Those Anti-War "Media Events" Provide Aid And Comfort To Our Enemies (Updated)

Topics:

Treason: Defind as violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies. The act of levying war against the United States or adhering to or giving aid and comfort to its enemies by one who owes it allegiance treasonous.

Cliff Kinkaid at Accuracy In Media writes that our media have given endless coverage to the anti-Iraq war protester Cindy Sheehan(Cindy Al-Sheehan), but many news organizations ignored the views of the nation's largest veterans organization, the 2.7 million-member American Legion.

In a clear reference to the Cindy Sheehan media circus, Thomas P. Cadmus, national commander of The American Legion said that "public protests against the war here at home while our young men and women are in harm's way on the other side of the globe only provide aid and comfort to our enemies."
In a statement that sums up the gravity and consequences of the media's agenda, Thomas P. Cadmus, national commander of The American Legion said that:
(...) "public protests against the war here at home while our young men and women are in harm's way on the other side of the globe only provide aid and comfort to our enemies." He called these "public media events" that are "guaranteed to be picked up and used as tools of encouragement by our enemies."

(...) And who are these enemies? Cadmus said, "We understand that the terrorists they are engaging there would slit the throats of every American, adult and child, if they could."

(...) That is what Cindy's son Casey was fighting against. The media which glorify her have lost all sense of reality. But at least we now understand whose side they're on.

Cindy Sheehan has been hyped up by the MSM and groups sharing the anti-war/anti-Bush agenda to become the Jane Fonda of the War on Terror. The American public needs to know that the war in Iraq and the War on Terror are REAL, that OUR LIVES here in the U.S. and those of our allies in Europe are at stake, as is our culture, our freedoms, and way of life.

Those pushing Cindy Sheehan's ego and fragile mind along include groups that can only be defined as an eclectic group of socialists, Communist Party members, Code Pink (a group which pickets in front of a military hospital condemning soldiers who were injured), A.N.S.W.E.R., and others of that ilk.

John Hinderraker does a great job of summing up "The sins of the news media." He writes that "in reporting on Iraq are mainly sins of omission. Not only do news outlets generally fail to report the progress that is being made, and often fail to put military operations into any kind of tactical perspective, they also avoid talking about the overarching strategic reason for our involvement there: the Bush administration's conviction that the only way to solve the problem of Islamic terrorism, long term, is to help liberate the Arab countries so that their peoples' energies will be channeled into the peaceful pursuits of free enterprise and democracy, rather than into extremist ideologies and terrorism."

"Partly this omission is because of laziness or incomprehension, but I think it is mostly attributable to the fact that if the media acknowledged that reforming the Arab world, in order to drain the terrorist swamp, has always been a principal purpose of the Iraq war, it would take the sting out of their "No large stockpiles of WMDs!" theme.""

And of course that's a large part of their agenda. The rest is simply the liberal bias that runs rampant throughout the very core of the journalists and editors behind the stories. As the American Legion national commander in Cliff KinKaid's article was quoted in speaking about the people that these anti-American groups support, "they are terrorists that "would slit the throats of every American, adult and child, if they could." That is what Cindy's son Casey was fighting against. The media which glorify her have lost all sense of reality. But at least we now understand whose side they're on.""

Update: Captain Ed writes: The groups that will gather in Washington DC for a major anti-war protest this weekend have financial ties to major leftist fundraisers like George Soros and Theresa Heinz Kerry, and beyond them to communist organizations and radical left-wing groups, the Washington Times reports today. The conduits for the rallies appear to be the ubiquitous front groups International ANSWER and the UPJ...
