Retribution: Sheikh Mohammed Khalil killed in Gaza air strike
Topics: Understanding IslamIn what William P. Welty, Ph.D., describes as "retribution," Ynetnews.com is reporting that senior Islamic Jihad terrorist Sheikh Mohammed Khalil was killed in an Air Force missile strike in the Gaza Strip Sunday evening. An IDF gunship fired a missile at his vehicle near Gaza's coastal road.
"Way back a lifetime or two ago, on 2 May 2004," Islam Commentaries "noted that the words of Israeli Likud Party member Dr. Uzi Landau had proved surprisingly prophetic. While visiting a Ra'anana polling station earlier that day, Minister Landau commented about the struggles Israel was facing from Muslim aggression in Yesha, that part of Israel the uneducated--or perhaps more fittingly described, the Anti-Semitic--press calls "the Occupied Territories".""
"Minister Landau said that the ongoing war is not just on "Gush Katif, but also on Ra'anana. The disengagement plan [that calls for Israel to abandon settlements in Yesha] is from the northern Shomron, neighboring Kfar Saba, Ra'anana, Netanya, and Hadera, placing them under a constant terror threat.""

"A couple of hours later, two Muslims attacked near the Kisufim Junction, killing Gush Katif resident Tali Hautel, her unborn child, and all four of her other children."
According to news reports, two Muslim terrorists attacked from the nearby Muslim town of Dir el-Balah, waiting in ambush for an Israeli car to pass by on the main road into the Gush Katif region.

Sheikh Khalil was the mastermind behind Mrs. Hatuel's death, and the deaths of her five children. And now, it seems, somebody in the IDF decided to do something about that on Sunday.

The attack killed Mohammed al-Sheikh Khalil, who has been described by Islamic Jihad as one of its "most senior commanders in Palestine". Khalil's deputy was also killed and four people were wounded.
Is it really retribution? The lives of two terrorists don't come close to being a fair exchange for the lives of a mother and her children. The war to rid the world of Islamic terrorism, when complete, is the only retribution that will really count, but until then, two less terrorists, one of whom planned the murder of an innocent woman and her four children, is a good begining.
