HarryTho on Hawaii's 'Very Senior Senators'

At 81, the two old geezers, Senators Dan Akaka and Dan Inouye, are 26 years beyond retirement and 16 years past social security. When they were 65, personal computers were just becoming popular, and the Berlin Wall came down. When they were 55, we were embroiled in the hostage crisis in Iran. Jimmy Carter, the peanut farmer, was revealing to us that we could not trust the Russians. When they were 45, we landed a man on the moon. When they were 35, Hawaii acquired statehood. Inouye was part of the original statehood team. When they were 25, the Soviets had joined us in the Atomic Age. When they were 20, we detonated the first atomic bombs over Japan.
Presumably, the two senators acquired their formal education prior to color TVs, Jet engines and personal computers. Tell me, what kind of minds have these two old geezers acquired in order to represent our state successfully in the US Senate? Right now, all I have witnessed is the two out-dated and out-of-touch senators stumbling around Washington, DC, hawking a racist agenda and supporting a pseudo-aristocracy of Native Hawaiian self-aggrandizers at the expense of the state of Hawaii taxpayers.
Maybe we should consider candidates for the US Senate that have not reached the age of social security entitlements. These two, pre-computer-age, racist hawking politicians should have their names on a "previously served" list and not entries on election ballots.
