Microcosm Of The Islamic Agenda: Palestinian Authority Pledges Not To Disarm Terrorists

Topics: Middle East News and Perspectives

The Palestinians never change, they never learn from their mistakes, and will never become a civilized nation or anything other than a disfunctional society. The agenda of those few Palestinians that truly seek peace with Israel is not their own, it is the agenda of militant Islamists, and as is the case in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, so it is between much of the Islamic world and the rest of the people on our planet:

(...) Hamas and Islamic Jihad announced on Monday that they have reached an agreement with the Palestinian Authority according to which the two groups would not be disarmed.

(...) The agreement was reportedly achieved during talks in Damascus between PA Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei and leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

(...) The weapons of the resistance were founded to defend the Palestinian people and resist the occupation," he added. "The Gaza victory was achieved with the weapons of the resistance, which is the only strategy to drive Israel out of the rest of our lands."

(...) "Gaza is a part of Palestine, and there will be no calm until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital," Qurei told reporters after the meeting.

The Palestinians have only one aim - the destruction of Israel. The more dollars we give them, the more they will use against Israel. The more land they are given, the more of Israel they want. The more that the idea of an independent Palestinian nation is entertained, the less secure Israel becomes and the thirstier Arabs become for Jerusalem and all of Israel. How long are we going to turn a blind eye to what can only be described as a purposefull agenda on the part of the militant Islamists in the PA? When do we open our eyes and see the writing on the wall? The message is already unfolding before us, and it became dramatically visible on September 11.

Isn't it time that the West realize that the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is and has been a microcosm of the Islamic agenda for the rest of the world? Islamists of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hizbullah are determined to dominate and, if necessary, to liquidate those Palestinians who are willing to live in peace with Israel. Let there be no doubt that they are also determined to destroy Israel. And, like their counterparts elsewhere, they seek to transform other non-Islamic nations into Islamist republics like now exists in Iran.

And while addressing the Islamists plans for Israel, let there be no doubt whatsoever that what these militant Islamists would impose on Israel - they would impose on the rest of the world, but they would first or at the same time, inflict the very same upon others they consider apostates from the Muslim faith.

SHOULD WE fail to understand this reality, success in the present conflict is likely to elude us. Our natural allies are the millions of non-jihadist Muslims around the world. They have at least as much at stake as do what Muhammad called "people of the book" (Jews and Christians) and adherents of other religions. Treating all Muslims as our enemies would be every bit as serious a mistake as treating them all as believers in a religion of peace.

Our BIG problem is trying to figure out, for certain, which Muslims are Muslims, and which Muslims are also militant Islamists. That problem is already being faced in Israel, which by leaving GAZA sought peace with Palestinian Muslims who are in fact militant Islamists using the face of Abbas as the Muslim representing what should be Palestinian Muslims who are at the mercy of militant Islamists, but as it turns out, are mostly militant Islamists themselves, and is likely, the man they selected as their face to be seen by the rest of the world.

Get it? Lots of luck!
