Kamehameha Schools: Mainland alumni to protest ruling

Topics:

HarryTho in Hawaii emails in: "The non-Hawaiian student who won the Appeals Court decision will commence school at a public school. Classes at Kamehameha Schools started yesterday. The Appeals Court has given Kamehameha Schools until Tuesday to request a review of their decision. The attorney for the non-Hawaiian student feels if the Appeals Court declines the Schools' request, the student may transfer to Kamehameha.

Mainland alumni of Kamehameha Schools are planning a rally in San Francisco at the United Nations Plaza and follow with a march to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Organizers believe the rally and march will influence the Appeals Court. They quote the successes of African Americans and women. Take to the streets and people notice.

My question is: what Native Hawaiian peoples are they defending? It is certainly not the "poor and orphaned" described in the will of the Estate. Maybe these Alumni should march on the many prisons in the USA where the true beneficiaries of the Estate are incarcerated."

Alumni of the Kamehameha Schools and other native Hawaiians and their supporters plan to rally in San Francisco tomorrow to support their alma mater and protest an appeals court ruling that struck down its admission policy as unlawful racial discrimination.

Organizer Noelani Jai said Hawaiians from throughout California and elsewhere on the mainland will gather at the city's United Nations Plaza at noon and march to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

A three-judge panel from that court, in a 2-1 ruling issued Aug. 2, found that the school's Hawaiians-only admission policy violates federal anti-discrimination laws.

The Kamehameha Schools were established under the 1883 will of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop. The main campus in Honolulu and newer campuses on Maui and the Big Island are partly funded by the trust, now worth $6.2 billion.

Harry,

I'm with you 99%!
Joran does know who took Natalee. Or else why the lies if not only to protect. You are right the Kalpoes are merely protecting Joran.
Joran is being protected by his godfather's men.
So long as the main stream media is investigating a murder "the boys" have nothing to worry about.

Thanks,

I tend to agree with possibly Joran knowing nothing, and son(s) of well to do involved.
Remember, however, these sons could be from rich American(AL) families as well as Aruban families.
There is a huge block of SILENCE in Mt Brook.
