Honolulu to Honor Little Leagers! (Updated)

Topics: Human Interest

Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann will induct the Ewa Beach team into the "No-Scared-em, Go-Get-em Hall of Fame and give the youngsters a victory parade.

Governor Linda Lingle and Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann made congratulatory calls to the team yesterday.

The team was featured on ESPN's Cold Pizza this morning.

Also, from what I understand, all the kids on the Ewa Beach team play football, as well. Head Coach June Jones, former Head Coach of the San Diego Charges, has invited the Ewa Beach Little League baseball team to meet with the Univeristy of Hawaii (Manoa) football team, before the college team squares off agaisnt the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans. The Trojans are defending their two-time National Title this year.
