HarryTho Tuesday Night Natalee Holloway Update and Commentary
Topics: Natalee Holloway
Due to all the coverage on the Hurricane Katrina disaster, Nancy Grace seems to be the only newscast still following the Natalee Holloway case.
Nancy hosted an attorney, a psychologist Joseph Deltito and Harris Faulkner. The attorney criticized the prosecutor for not charging the kids. Nancy took offense to the work "kids" to describe the defendants. She made some reference to her father serving abroad a battleship when he was their age. The attorney doubted that the prosecutor had a case against the young men.More tomorow.
Dr. Joseph DelTito followed with an opinion that the Araban interrogators can crack the case when the young men see the charges brought against them. Until that time, he feels the young men will stick together. I believe the doctor is under the misconception that Aruba can plea deal.
Harris Faulkner believes that charges of sexual assault will be forthcoming against Joran van der Sloot. Harris feels the prosecution will be successful with their motion to extend Joran's incarceration for 30 days.
Lastly, Nancy Grace re-aired an earlier telecast by CBS of an interview with Paulus and Anita van der Sloot. Paulus stressed that Joran is telling the truth. Joran does not know what happened to Natalee Holloway. Anita expressed her dissatisfaction with the Twitty-Holloway family's tactics in Aruba. Anita exclaimed that it is "too much." Their comments seemed oriented as a foundation for possible, further civil action against the Twitty-Holloway group.

JORAN & KALPOE BROTHERS IN COURT
The Associated Press reported today that an Aruban judge heard arguments on whether to keep Joran van der Sloot in jail another for another 30 days.

Joran's attorney, ANTONIO CARLO, said that JORAN cried during the closed hearing, while answering all of the judge's questions.
CAROL argued that JORAN should be released because the only new evidence that the prosecutors have produced -- allegations of a "sexual nature" -- was actually "old evidence," which, therefore, does not meet the required Aruban test for continued incarceration.
The AP also reported that the Kalpoe brothers were taken to court as well, but the reason was unclear.
