DNC Uses President's Physical Fitness Report For New Political Attack

Topics: Political News and commentaries

President Bush took his annual physical the other day and was labeled as being in very good health. As Chad at InTheBullPen points out, "This is good news right? Nah, this is just another way to attack the President."

The Democratic Party, as it exists today and for the last 10 years, has surely become a candidate for selection as the most bizzare political party in history. I doubt that any political group in the last 2,000 years, other than the Democratic party as it exists today, has ever been comprised of such a bitter, delusional, paranoid, bi-polar, ostrich-imitating (my personal favorite description for moonbats), spiteful, group of misfits, as we see exists today under the tutelage of screamin-Howard Dean. Their apparent motto: "To hell with common sense, common courtesy, sound judgement, fairness, reality, rational behavior, national unity, and national pride."

Instead of applauding the President for staying fit while carrying out the duties of the world's toughest job, the Dems instead, attack the president for the physical fitness of kids in public schools.

Captain Ed offers:

What I find most hilarious about the DNC screed is its implicit stance that unfit children somehow equate to government failure. Why? Does it take a government program to get kids off the TV and video game box? Does it take a village to strap a pair of athletic shoes on a kid and have him jog? Do we need government oversight to have people make sure that kids eat healthy?

Or maybe ... just maybe ... George Bush isn't everyone's daddy, nor Laura the national mommy. Perhaps the parents of these children should take some responsibility for their health -- as the Bushes have for themselves and their healthy daughters.

Chad has the story and more commentary ...
