Berlusconi Cowers To Terrorist Threat
Topics: War on TerrorCalifornia Yankee has, unfortunately, a follow-up to my earlier related post. I say unfortunately because anyone wanting to see terrorism defeated, would prefer for a nation's leader to stand strong in the face of terrorist threat rather than cower like a whipped puppy.
Dan Spencer at California Yankee has a post on Italy's Berlusconi getting weak-in-the-knees following the London terrorist attacks. Berlusconi appears to be cowtowing to threats by the "evil doer wannabees" who supposedly carried out the attacks, by announcing that Italy will start to pull its troops out of Iraq in the fall.
As Dan points out, the real problem here is that "no matter what the Italians say, the evil doers will claim they attacked London, killed 50 and injured 700 others, then threatened the Italians who immediately announced their withdrawal from Iraq.
