US Freezes Assets of Those Helping Iran's mullahs
Topics: Middle East News and PerspectivesReportedly, the US Bush administration is preparing to implement
new measurements against Iran, Syria, and North Korea - all countries that have been accused of
having weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
The Washington Post via Persian Journal(hat tip to Stefy at Free Thoughts)reports
that the Bush administration has decided to freeze the assets of all companies,
individuals and banks in the US if they are found to be assisting any of these
countries with their nuclear programs.
A related decree will reportedly
be signed by President Bush before the G-8 Summit to be held on July 2 in
Scotland.
According to the Post's article, the measures will be
applied on eight suspected companies, which includes a company from
North Korea, four from Iran and, one from Syria.
