The Lodi Message: Harbinger of things to come!

Topics: War on Terror

Are warnings about the Islamic threat just extreme, hostile, and unnecessary provocation against innocent Muslims? Unquestionably, there are many moderate Muslims in America, and many make important contributions to our society. Yet, they seem to have no voice, and are themselves fearful of the Islamists that threaten our country and control most of the Muslim organizations and mosques.

According to Daniel Pipes:
The Muslim population in this country is not like any other group, for it includes within it a substantial body of people--many times more numerous than the agents of Osama bin Ladin--who share with the suicide hijackers a hatred of the United States and the desire, ultimately, to transform it into a nation living under the strictures of militant Islam. Although not responsible for the atrocities in September, they harbor designs for this country that warrant urgent and serious attention.

In June 1991, Siraj Wahaj, a black convert to Islam and the recipient of some of the American Muslim community's highest honors, had the privilege of becoming the first Muslim to deliver the daily prayer in the U.S. House of Representatives. On that occasion he recited from the Qur'an and appealed to the Almighty to guide American leaders "and grant them righteousness and wisdom."

A little over a year later, addressing an audience of New Jersey Muslims, the same Wahaj articulated a rather different vision from his mild and moderate invocation in the House. If only Muslims were more clever politically, he told his New Jersey listeners, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.

(Wahaj was practicing the Muslim art of Taqiya, the art that Muslims of all flavors are taught since they are kids. It is ok to lie and commit any sin as long as it helps spread Islam and the cause of Islam).

So  keep taqiya in mind in the future when hearing 'moderate Muslims' talking about how peaceful their religion is, how much they want to work together with non-Muslims, or how much they love America. Many of them just want to kill you.

The warnings from the Lodi case jump of the page at us and provide us a taste of the very real threat from Islamists, and confirm what Pipes has said. And as we take another look at the Lodi case, let's keep in mind that the threat that emanates from Muslim mosques, schools, youth groups, community centers, political organizations, professional associations, and commercial enterprises has one very common mindset. According to Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, of the  Islamic Supreme Council of America, one of the few moderate Muslims that hasn't been afraid to speak out about the Islamists, "all of these Muslim organizations tend to share a militant outlook,  hostile to the prevailing order in the United States and advocating its replacement with an Islamic one."

The Lodi case - two important and frightening points to consider:

[...]

Hamid advised that he specifically requested to come to the United States to carry out his Jihadi mission. Potential targets for attack would include hospitals and large food stores.(these are r-e-a-l-l-y nice people)

Hamid observed hundreds of attendees from various parts of the world at this camp. According to Hamid, these attendees rotated into the camp depending on their stage of training. Camp attendees were given the opportunity to choose the country in which to carry out their jihadi mission including the United States, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir and other countries.(and he C-H-O-S-E the good ole U.S of A.)

More interesting excerpts from the F.B.I. affidavid(from below in extended post):

(...) After approximately two more hours of questioning, Hamid admitted that he had, in fact, attended a jihadist training camp in Pakistan.

(...) Hamid admitted that he attended a jihadist training camp in Pakistan for approximately 6 months in 2003- 2004. Hamid stated that Al-Qaeda supports the camp and provides instructors for the camp. Hamid later confirmed this camp was run by Al-Qaeda.

(...)  Classroom instruction included ideological rhetoric detailing opposition towards the United States and other non-Muslim countries.

(...) Hamid observed hundreds of attendees from various parts of the world at this camp.

(...)  Camp attendees were given the opportunity to choose the country in which to carry out their jihadi mission including the United States, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir and other countries.

(...) Umer(hyscience comment - the father/ice cream truck driver) admitted that he paid for Hamid's flight and had provided him with an allowance of $100 per month, knowing that his intention was to attend a jihadi training camp.

(...) The madrassah was operated by Hamid Hayat's grandfather, and Umer Hayat's father-in-law, Qazi Saeed Ur Rehman. According to Umer Hayat, Qazi Saeed Ur Rehman sends the students from this madrassah to jihadi training camps in Pakistan.

As if these excerpts aren't alarming enough, we must realize that this is but the tip of the iceberg. These Lodi guys are just small potatoes compared to the large number of highly organized cells that are still out there, the ones that haven't been caught yet but are among the  hundreds of attendees from various parts of the world that Hamid observed just during the time he was at the terrorist camp - and that was just while he was there. How many went to the camp and graduated before him, and chose which country they wanted to committ murder in, many of which chose America?

This is not time for the liberals to dribble about tolerance for the "religion of peace." Islam is not about peace, it is about control of you and me, your family and mine, your faith and mine.

From a previous post, let's remember that "There are many liberal dhimmis among us who are the early sufferers of "Stockholm syndrome.""

(From CC) LGF reports: "The Oakland Tribune has a soothing, go-back-to-sleep piece about the Lodi Islamic terrorist arrests, and amazingly, appallingly, they quote as an impartial, reliable source none other than UC Berkeley lecturer Hatem Bazian: Area Muslims say mosques should not engender fear"

"Hatem Bazian, is the same person who, on April 10, 2004, told an "anti-war" rally that we need An Intifada in This Country"

Here is most of the F.B.I. affidavid.(hat tip - Michelle Malkin). Consider the magnitude of what you are reading.

Then remind yourself that this is but one case of many to come and that are surely many more, most of them even more dangerous with plans for disasterous attacks for America.

PROBABLE CAUSE

6. On Sunday, 05/29/05 at approximately 5:30am, the Sacramento Division of the FBI was notified, via FBI Headquarters (FBIHQ), that Hamid Hayat, a United States Citizen, was attempting to gain access to the United States via an inbound flight which was scheduled to arrive at San Francisco International Airport at approximately 1:50pm on 05/29/05. During his travel from Korea to the United States, while in flight, it was determined that Hamid was on the "No Fly" list. The plane was immediately diverted, and was ultimately allowed to land in Japan for refueling purposes. While in Japan, Hamid was interviewed by an FBI agent and denied having any connection to terrorism or terrorist activities. Based on Hamid's statements verbal authority was granted to downgrade Hamid from the "No Fly" list to the "Selectee list" so that Hamid could continue his planned travel to the United States. Immigration records indicate that Hamid had departed from the United States on 04/19/03, arriving in Islamabad, Pakistan on 04/21/03.

3 Immigration records also indicate that he departed from Pakistan on 05/27/05, arriving in the United States on 05/29/05.

A. Interview of Hamid Hayat
7. On June 3, 2005, Hamid Hayat was interviewed by special agents of the FBI. During that interview he was specifically asked if he had ever attended any jihadi camps. He was also asked if he had ever attended any terrorist training camps in Pakistan or in general. He was also asked if he had ever attended a jihadi madrassah (religious school). Hamid stated that he would never be involved with anything related to terrorism.

8. On June 4, 2005 Hamid Hayat voluntarily appeared at the Sacramento office of the FBI to take a polygraph examination that had been requested by the FBI. Hayat, who brought his father with him to the FBI, was informed in advance that the purpose of the polygraph examination was to resolve questions about his possible involvement with terrorist activities. After a brief interview with an FBI agent who showed Hamid some photographs, the polygraph examination was administered and and his answers to the relevant questions were found to be indicative of deception. After approximately two more hours of questioning, Hamid admitted that he had, in fact, attended a jihadist training camp in Pakistan.

9. Hamid admitted that he attended a jihadist training camp in Pakistan for approximately 6 months in 2003- 2004. Hamid stated that Al-Qaeda supports the camp and provides instructors for the camp. Hamid later confirmed this camp was run by Al-Qaeda. Hamid described the camp as providing structured paramilitary training, including weapons training, explosives training, interior room tactics, hand to hand combat, and strenuous exercise. Classroom instruction included ideological rhetoric detailing opposition towards the United States and other non-Muslim countries. Hamid stated that during his weapons training, photos of various high ranking U.S. political figures, including President Bush, would be pasted onto their targets. Hamid further stated that he and others at the camp were being trained on how to kill Americans. Hamid stated that although he did not participate in all the available instruction, he was aware the other training was ongoing.

10. Hamid observed hundreds of attendees from various parts of the world at this camp. According to Hamid, these attendees rotated into the camp depending on their stage of training. Camp attendees were given the opportunity to choose the country in which to carry out their jihadi mission including the United States, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kashmir and other countries.

11. Hamid advised that he specifically requested to come to the United States to carry out his Jihadi mission. Potential targets for attack would include hospitals and large food stores.

B. Interview of Umer Hayat
12. On June 3, 2005, Umer Hayat, Hamid Hayat's father, was interviewed by a special agent of the FBI at the same time that Hamid was interviewed. During that interview Umer was specifically asked if his son, Hamid Hayat, was not a terrorist.

13. On June 4, 2005, Umer Hayat, United States citizen, accompanied his son, Hamid Hayat, to the Sacramento Office of the FBI. On that date he was specifically asked if he had a knowledge about terrorist training camps in Pakistan. Umer replied that there were no such training camps in Pakistan.

14. Following the interview of Hamid Hayat in which Hamid admitted attending a jihadi training camp, Umer Hayat was interviewed again by FBI agents. At the outset of the interview Umer was shown a videotape of his son's confession. Shortly after viewing that videotape, Umer confirmed that Hamid Hayat attended a jihadist training camp in Pakistan in 2003-04. Umer admitted that he paid for Hamid's flight and had provided him with an allowance of $100 per month, knowing that his intention was to attend a jihadi training camp.

15. Umer Hayat described Hamid Hayat as first being interested in attending a jihadi training camp during his early teenage years, and being influenced by a classmate, Sadr Yaqoob (phoenetic spelling), at the madrassah (religious school) Hamid attended in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Hamid was also influenced by his uncle, Atiq Ur Rahman (phonetic spelling), who fought with the mujahedeen in Afghanistan. Umer Hayat claimed Hamid was at the training camp for 6 months, but had been able to leave for home on the weekends.

16. The madrassah was operated by Hamid Hayat's grandfather, and Umer Hayat's father-in-law, Qazi Saeed Ur Rehman. According to Umer Hayat, Qazi Saeed Ur Rehman sends the students from this madrassah to jihadi training camps in Pakistan. After completing his education at the madrassah, Hamid Hayat went to the Tamal training camp near Rawalpindi, Pakistan, which is operated by Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Umer Hayat stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a close personal friend of Saeed Ur Rehman, Umer Hayat's father-in-law.

17. Umer stated that due to his close familial connections to the leaders of the above-mentioned madrassah and training camp, he was invited to observe several operational training camps. According to Umer, he was assigned a driver who drove him from camp to camp. While visiting these training camps he observed weapons and urban warfare training, physical training, and classroom education.

CONCLUSION

18. Based on the foregoing there is probable cause to believe that Hamid Hayat and Umer Hayat have committed violations of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1001, by making false statements of material fact in a matter within the jurisdiction of the FBI. I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct and that this affidavit was executed at Sacramento California on June 6, 2005.

Since 2002, several suspected terrorist training camps affiliated with Al-Qaida have surfaced along the Pakistani-Afghan border in Waziristan (hat tip - Evan Kohlmann).

As I mentioned in my previous post,  Indepundit has posed a very important question: "WHERE is the al-Qaeda training camp in Pakistan, and how do we plan to destroy it?" But I'd go one step further and ask why aren't the bombers already on their way?

As I quoted from California Conservative in my previous post: "If Christian groups ever committed terrorist acts in the Middle East, publicly declared "jihad"-equivalent against these nations and desecrated their flags, what people and organizations residing therein do you think the Muslim authorities would "investigate?" (In quotes, because they would more likely throw them out of their countries, pronto, if not doing far worse)"

His very appropriate point being, "It is entirely reasonable to investigate the breeding pools for religious extremists in the United States."

We can no longer be fooled and lulled to sleep in face of the Islamic threat before us.

The time to vigorously investigate, prosecute, deport, and/or imprison the Islamic vermin that are intrinsically embedded in almost all Muslim communites, and take immediate and significant steps to rid America of the threat of their waiting terror, is long past due. All of us, both moderate Muslims and non-Muslim's, must recognize that the threat is here, it is real, and ourselves and our loved ones are in great danger.

As I've noted before:
Q. Are all Muslims planning to kill us?
A, No.

Q. How do we no which ones are and which ones aren't?
A. We don't, and that's a problem!

Q. Are all Muslims planning to kill us?
A. No.

Q. How do we no which ones are and which ones aren't(trying to kill us)?
A. We don't, and that's a bigger problem!
