Natalee Holloway: "Possibly" Breaking News OR is this "General Hospital Goes To Aruba"
Topics: Natalee Holloway
A reader at Riehl World View has provided Dan interesting and possibly breaking, if true, news. Could the two against one scenario could be playing out? Most interesting of all, can it be that suspect Joran van der Sloot, the suspect everyone suspects is the culprit, just might not be responsible for Natalee's disappearance? Alternatively, is this just more conflicting information that's going to turn-out to be untrue?
TOP95 FM (Aruban radio station) reported on Monday that they have
received information about the story that the suspect Joran van der
Sloot gave to the police.
The radio station got this information from
the attorney that is representing the suspect Abraham Jones. Jones is
being held at the same location as Joran and he has been
hearing/getting information from within the institute.
According to the
attorney ,Jones declared that Joran is convinced that he is being
framed. Joran is saying that he did not go to the lighthouse with the
group at all. He testified that after he left the club, he caught a
ride home with his Surinamese friends, the brothers Kalpoe. At that
time Natalee Holloway was in the car. Joran allegedly testified that
the Kalpoes dropped him off at his home and drove off with Natalee in
car. It was only afterwards (a few days later), around the swimming
pool at his house, that the Kalpoes made plans to come out with one
version of the events. But now it seems that they are trying to frame
The attorney also told the radio station that his client has
been hearing Joran van der Sloot sobbing a lot lately.
However, from Scared Monkeys says that the news story is that the brothers dropped of Joran
at home and then left with Natalee, or, that Natalee and Joran were dropped
off by the brothers.
Aruba Girl sent them a note that says:
"It would be stupid to drop J first off at his home and then go back to drop off Natalee if you're coming from the lighthouse.
and international press went to a search site with NH's family, no news
on the results. They don't want to give up the location of the site in
order to avoid a crowd forming there."
Aruba -- Cracks have emerged in the stories of three young suspects in
the case of an American teen who went missing in Aruba two weeks ago,
FOX News has learned.
The three young men have
reportedly changed their stories since being moved to separate jail
cells, Chris Lejuez, the lawyer for one of two security guards who were
taken into custody June 5, told FOX News.
One of the trio
detained since June 9, the Dutch son of a judicial official, is now
saying that his two Surinamese friends -- who are brothers -- dropped him
off at his house after he exchanged e-mail addresses with Natalee Holloway (search) and said goodnight, Lejuez said.
brothers have also changed their story, now saying they left their
friend with Holloway at the beach that night, FOX has learned.
The Dutch teenager, 17-year-old Joran Van Der Sloot (search), and the Surinamese brothers, 18-year-old Satish Kalpoe (search) and 21-year-old Deepak Kalpoe (search), originally told police they brought Holloway to a lighthouse beside the island's Arisha Beach, but didn't get out of the car.
Kalpoe brothers also told police that Holloway and Van Der Sloot were
kissing passionately in the back seat of the car. They said they
dropped her off at her hotel about 2 a.m. and last saw her being
approached by a man in a security guard uniform before they drove off,
a lawyer for the brothers has said.
Like the folks at Scared Monkey suggest, "This whole thing is starting to hit the level of a bad soap opera."
Although I hate to make light of a very tragic and very
sad situation, it does seem that "General Hospital" is being played
out in Aruba.

What about doing polygraph tests? I know in our system it does not hold up in court, but in a case like this wouldn't it at least give the LE an edge as to who to "lean on"?

Maybe they should send them, all 5 , to Gitmo for some questioning.

Latest suspect is Steve Croes, a DJ on a party boat. Do a Google search for "Steve Croes" + Aruba. You'll get a few web sites that show a Steve Croes affiliated with Aruba who appears to be an aspiring pilot and EMT (got to look at book reviews for the EMT thing).
