Happy Father's Day Dads!

Topics: Administrative

"Happy Father's Day" to all you dads out there. We've all come a long way from the time that most of us came up, some more than others. Now it's cool to really be involved with our kids and be a big part in their lives. After all, without kids, we wouldn't be dads.

I only wish that I had realized what a louzy dad I was when my kids were little - we all missed out on so much. Now that I look back to when they were little, I realize that we always did what I thought was fun - I don't recall asking them much about what they wanted to do. For the most part it was all mostly about me, and it should have been all about them. But, in spite of my shortcomings, they loved me, and their love made me a better person, now many lives later.

It's a darn good thing that we have the opportunity to change over the years, I just wish it hadn't taken so many years for me to realize what a blessing each and every minute spent with one's kids can be - it's also a darn good thing that it's never too late and they're never too old to care about the love we give them.

Thankfully, we all have this day and the new chance it brings, every day.

Blogging later today, off and on!
