Freedom of Speech at risk in Italy: Harbinger of 'US' too?
Topics: Understanding IslamStephania, writing at Freedom's Zone, posts that she received an important e-mail ( in Italian ) asking to her to sign a petition
in favor of free speech. An "Islamic anti-defamation league" has been
founded in Italy, with the declared aim to persecute all who
dare to criticize Islam and some aspects of it.
She writes that we can declare our support for this petition by sending an email ( even in english ) to : libertadiopinione@hotmail.it
Stefania reminds us that "We must more then ever defend the freedom of speech of everyone, including that of the secular muslims ( in particular the women ) who escaped persecution and now face it right here."
You may recall that Australia is already falling down the slippery slope to Islamofascism. In what Robert Spencer called extraordinarily bad news, two Christian pastors from Catch the Fire Ministries on trial in Australia under its new religious vilification laws were found guilty -- essentially for telling the truth about Islam.
