Pipes warns us that the Muslim population in our country is not like any other group, "for it includes within it a substantial body of people--many times more numerous than the agents of Osama bin Ladin--who share with the suicide hijackers a hatred of the United States and the desire, ultimately, to transform it into a nation living under the strictures of militant Islam. Although not responsible for the atrocities in September, they harbor designs for this country that warrant urgent and serious attention."

The attention given them by the Hinesburg, Vermont school board is most definately the wrong kind, it represents the very worst kind of appeasement of the enemy within - militant Islam and it's hidden agenda, the Islamization of our nation.

HINESBURG, Vt. -- The Crusaders of Champlain Valley Union High are now history.

The School Board in the Vermont community is selecting a new nickname and mascot for the school.

The Islamic world has criticized the Crusades.

Robert Spencer writes, "Yes, and I have criticized Islamic jihads, but I don't see that compelling any jihad terrorists to pack it in. This is just part of the larger campaign to make the West ashamed of its own culture and history -- the easier to subvert it. The West has nothing to apologize for in the Crusades, as I explain in my forthcoming book The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)."

And closer to home, some people object to a knight bearing a crucifix as the symbol for a public school.

The image makeover will be implemented in time for the next school year.

Redhawks, Bobcats and Red Wolves are all in the running for Union High's new nickname.

Robert suggests that the new name should be "The Champlain Valley Union High Cringin' Dhimmis."

As for their new school color, I suggest yellow.

Like Pipes has said, "While Muslim demands to change our history and accomodate their religious sensitivities may seem relatively minor in and of themselves, implying no drastic alterations in existing American arrangements but rather only slight adjustments in our already expansive accommodation of social "diversity," cumulatively, however, by whittling away at the existing order, they would change the country's whole way of life--making Islam a major public presence, ensuring that both the workplace and the educational system accommodate its dictates and strictures, adapting family customs to its code of conduct, winning it a privileged position in American life, and finally imposing its system of law.

Steps along the way would include more radical and intrusive actions like prohibiting conversion out of Islam, criminalizing adultery, banning the consumption of pork, formalizing enhanced rights for Muslims at the expense of non-Muslims, and doing away with equality of the sexes.

Think about it, just think about it. Reflect on the Islamic influence that has already afflicted our nation, the terrorist cells, September 11, and the ongoing problems with Muslims throughout our nation and the world, and ask yourself if you're willing to let it continue! We need to reverse the Islamist's influence on our country at the community level, the town and city level, the state level, at the federal level, and at the international level. All of us need to make sure our voice is heard and that we are doing our part by making sure everyone we know is warned of the dangers of Islam - our enemy within. All Muslims are not Islamists, but the overwhelming majority of their leaders and spokespersons are Islamists, and their agenda is to convert us or force us into submission. And while you're at it - call the school (802.482.7100) and give them you polite and courteous opinion of their turning their backs on the culture and history of the West in support of Islam's agenda for America. Remember, politeness goes a lot further than sarcasm.
