Blog Briefs "On Terrorism and the War" (updated)

Topics: Blogger Round-up

Here's some blog readings on the war and terrorism front:

Iraq the Model has an AAR on Operation Lightening, and says that it's their battle and a battle for existence, and that's why they must fight it to the end.

American Warmonger has the scoop on Shi'as Showing Solidarity With Sunnis in Fallujah(you won't hear his take from the MSM). While you're at AW, don't forget to check out the "Images of Hope."

BlackFive has a must read email from a Senior Marine Officer involved in several Operations in Iraq.

Chad at inTheBullPen has the story on another mosque that's been targeted with a suicide bomb; this time in Afghanistan. Where's "NewsWeak" on this one?

Regime Change Iran has photos of the confrontation between students and the Basiji at Amir Kabir University. The Basiji are Iran's volunteer Islamic militia.

The CounterTerrorismBlog has the story on the "American Jihadists" arrested by Federal authorities for conspiracy to provide material support to al-Qaeda.

And, stepping back to the Koran in the toilet story(post is from May 26), Steve at The Islamic Threat offers a reasonable brief on Taqiya - "the art that Muslims of all flavors are taught since they are kids. It's ok to lie and commit any sin as long as it helps spread Islam and the cause of Islam. What makes these lies terribly destructive is that Muslims themselves repeat them so much that they end up believing them. Don't let the media fool you and don't let Muslim Taqiya win over reason and good judgment. The storm will blow away and it is up to us, the people of the United States to continue to support our troops and government regardless of any Taqiya ridden lies they spread against us."
