Tidbits on Terrorism
Topics: Understanding IslamOne of many derogatory things that must be said about radical Muslims and Islamic terrorists, is that they and the MSM never run short of a litany of ridiculous, mindless, and ironic behaviors to write about. Here's just a few:
The Pentagon has a long list of rules for handling the Koran, but no rules for handling the Bible or the Torah, or the "holy" books of any other faith. Why is Islam provided "exalted" status over the Bible from which much of the Koranic writings were "borrowed," plagiarized, and extropolated. Muslims have no problem burning crosses and using Bibles for toilet paper, but raise hell, become violent, and murder people over American's alleged, just alleged and not proven, "mishandling" of their "holy to them" book! When people are murdered and property destroyed because of a "holy book," then I submit that the "holy book" has not a damned thing to do with God or holiness.
Arthur Chrenkoff has "Children's jihad," about a 15-year old Palestinian boy Ahmed al-Nadi who was stopped at a border checkpoint and found to be strapped with a bomb belt. "The army spokeswoman said it was the 14th time in the past two months that a Palestinian teenager had attempted to detonate a bomb or smuggle arms and explosives through a military checkpoint despite a de facto truce declared in February."
Scrapple Face offers an interesting satire on just how ridiculous this whole Koran business and the Muslim's reaction to it, has become. Now there's, "U.S. Blamed for Koran Harm in WTC Collapse."
Also on the Koran issue but in a more serious vein, Kerfuffles writes that Muslim terrorists worldwide are using the Holy Book of Islam as explosive booby traps, as bombs. These same people blow up Mosques where Korans are stored and they explode the Muslims there who are praying and holding and reading the Koran. And "Even more outrageous, Muslim extremists interpret the teachings of the Koran to give them license to commit mayhem upon unbelievers, such as the citizens of the United States. Why are we providing this Most Holy Book of Islam to the Muslim potential terrorists that we hold in prison? By doing so, we are aiding and abetting those who plot against us. Why should we obey their rules?"
Kerfuffles also has the best idea on the Koran issue that I've heard so far. Instead of giving the Koran to the terrorists at Guantanamo, make available the Holy Bible, which is customary in "our culture". Let them use it as they will. Read it or don't. There are no capricious rules to fret about, as Pentagon officials say they take extra precautions only on The Holy Book of Islam. As quoted in the Washington Post: "The Pentagon does not have a similar policy regarding any other major religious book ... officials said." There will be no beheadings if one accidentally falls into the trash bin or is deliberately rendered. In our culture it is the words that are holy, not the printed books. It would be extremely rare, if known at all, for devout Christians or Jews, to use their Holy Book, as a murderous weapon.
Now for a dose of perspective on where all the Islamic mindset(via their culture and their cleric's preaching of their own individual and differing versions of what that koran means) has taken us and the sacrifices made by American troops to keep the Muslim terrorists "over there" instead of "over here" - from the WTC bombings on 9/11 to this Memorial Day weekend - read Arrghhh's Memorial Day tribute to 2nd Lt. Leonard M. Cowherd, 22, of Culpeper, Va., died May 16 in Karbala, Iraq, when he received sniper and rocket propelled grenade fire while securing a building near the Mukhayam Mosque. Cowherd was assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany.
