Political developments in Lebanon these days are moving quickly, and in several directions simultaneously. As spinmeisters in Washington, Beirut, Damascus, Paris, Tehran, Tel Aviv and other interested quarters work overtime to take credit for the good things they see happening there, or to denounce the evil ones responsible for the real or imagined bad things they see taking place, what are the key dynamic issues linked to Lebanon today and to the Syrian presence/withdrawal?

As all of these key dynamic issues move ahead at different speeds, it is these issues that define the totality of what is happening in Lebanon, and they are far more complex and significant than the simplistic tales spun by the spinmeisters in Beirut, Damascus, Tel Aviv, Paris, Washington, Tehran and other interested capitals.
