GPS for Sex Offenders

Level 3 Sex Offenders living in Schenectady County (NY) will be tracked by GPS if one legislator gets his way...
Rotterdam Republican Joseph Suhrada wants tighter reins on sex offenders... he's calling for all Level 3 offenders to be required to wear Global Positioning System BRACELETS ... Suhrada says "if the government can put an ankle bracelet on Martha Stewart, why can't we put them on the most dangerous criminals in our society?" Suhrada plans to introduce the resolution for consideration at the County legislature's May 2nd committee meeting... the legislation would create the Schenectady County Resident Housing Notification Act... the measure would also require landlords to certify that they have conducted sex registry background checks on prospective tenants and notify nearby residents. The landlord would also be allowed to REFUSE to rent to a Level 3 offender.
