Captured Zarqawi Aide an American
Topics: Middle East News and PerspectivesJawa Report has a post about an American that was captured late last year fighting for Abu Musab
Zarqawi's al Qaeda in Iraq, the group responsible for dozens of
beheading murders of civilians. Coalition forces are now holding him as
an 'enemy combatant' and legal action against him will be taken "in coordination with the Iraqi government, leaving open the possibility that he could be handed over to the U.S. Justice Department.
I'd much prefer that the Iraqi's handle all of the interogation of this traitor, as well as the trial and subsequent punishment. There's not much about our justice system that I have any faith in anymore - we kill innocent people and turn loose killers. We starve disabled people but make sure that murderers have plenty to eat - even a last meal before they are executed. Better leave the guy there for the Iraqis to deal with.
As for his punishment, I suggest starvation and dehydration, the new American way.
