Terri Schiavo Dead at 41Topics: Terri Schiavo's Life Counts
After 14 days without food or water, Terri Schiavo died around 9:50 Thursday morning - shortly after her parents issued an emotional plea to be at her hospice bedside in her final moments of life.
Terri's husband and legal guardian, Michael Schiavo, denied the Schindler family's final request to be with Terri as she took her last breath.
But they saw her later: "Bobby, Suzanne, Mary and Bob are in there now at Terri's bedside. They were denied access at the moment of her death," said a family spokesman.
It was one of many requests denied the family in a two-week flurry of legal motions, all aimed at keeping Terri alive.
The case has galvanized national debate about end-of-life issues and constitutional issues involving the legislative and judicial branches.
The Schindler family will make a statement later today, Brother Paul O'Donnell told a somber crowd gathered outside the hospice.

Stuff like the Terri Schaivo case happens all the time. Terri's case just so happened to actually make it to the national news. Schaivo's case is extremely tramatic, and it greives my heart. Unfortunately, however, Terri Schaivo's case and what happened to her does not suprise me in the least. Call me a pessimist, but there is no evil, no matter how great, that would actually suprise me. Terri Schaivo's case truly grieves my heart, but it does not suprise me in the least. There are many things that happen in this nation that are just as horrific as the Terri Schaivo case that never make it to the news, because they are done behind closed and locked doors. People who are to different degrees defensless are considered "easy prey" by bloodthirsty people full of money greed. Why do you think the judicial system supported Terri's bloody murder? It was for reasons of bloodthirst and money greed. After all, money greed, or the love of money, is the root of all evil.

In the fall of 1939 the German government under Adolf Hitler established the T-4 “Euthanasia” program. Between December 1939 and August 1941, mentally ill and mentally handicapped patients were taken from hospitals and institutions throughout Germany and systematically murdered in gas chambers and by lethal injection.
Since the liberation of the concentration camps at the end of World War 2, we in this country have always been incredulous that the German people just sat by and allowed the incomprehensible wholesale slaughter that went on in the concentration camps. We have always felt that in their lack of action against these atrocities they were complicit with them.
I believe that as of today, we have given up our right to judge those people. Over the last two weeks, we have sat by and watched while our government murdered an innocent girl in Florida. Her only crime was in being mentally handicapped and at the mercy of the uncaring and brutal society that we have become.
