Mourners Fill Fla. Church to Remember Jessica Lunsford
Topics: National NewsPredatory sociopaths such as the blight on society named John E. Couey, the man who sexually assaulted and suffocated nine year-old Jessica Lunsford, can't be rehabilitated, they like what they do, and they intend to keep doing it. Turning them loose on society, especially someone like Couey who is a repeat felon, previously convicted of a sex crime against a minor, and had who once claimed helplessness in controlling his urges, is a crime in itself. I can't help but wonder when we are going to stop catering to political correctness and stop pretending that these repeat offenders deserve yet another chance to "graduate" to a crime such as the one that ended Jessica's life. Am I able to offer a solution? Nope, but it's high time society puts some time into coming up with one.

LECANTO, Fla. (AP) -- About 1,000 mourners gathered Saturday to say
goodbye to the 9-year-old Florida girl who was abducted from her bed
and allegedly slain by a sex offender staying in a nearby home.
Relatives, neighbors and friends filled a Presbyterian church for a memorial service to remember Jessica Marie Lunsford. They gazed at a photo montage of her life: an infant being embraced by her parents, a toddler playing on a playground swing, a child posing behind the steering wheel of a car.

I would just like to say to the Family and Friends how very sorry I am for their loss.
I have a 8.5 year old daughter and I really wished for a different outcome.
Sincerely,
Paula Johnson
