Michael Schiavo Turned The Money Down: We're Back To The WallTopics: Terri Schiavo's Life Counts
On March 10 when I first posted on an offer from a California business man to pay Michael Schiavo to let Terri's parents take her home and care for her, I said at the time that I doubted it would have much of an affect on Michael Schiavo since he can't spend the money in jail. If Terri should receive therapy and recover sufficiently to tell us how she sustained all of those broken bones, Michael's days of freedom would be over, and maybe the careers of George Felos and George Greer also.
So as Katrina at Cait's Oz Blogs says today, we're "Back To The Wall"
``Michael has said over and over again that this case is not about money for him. It's about carrying out his wife's wishes. There is no amount of money anyone can offer that will cause him to turn his back on his wife.''
So sayeth George Felos. And philanthropic businessman Robert Herring gets to keep his money.
So, there you go. What did I tell you? Michael Schiavo is the one man in the world who can't afford an easy million dollars.
Do you like George's comment about Michael not turning his back on his wife. How does that marriage vow go again? In sickness and in health for as long as we both shall live.
I would have thought that moving in with another woman, calling her your fiancee, taking her to visit your ailing wife at the hospice and having two children by her was what most people would call turning your back. Some people might be tempted to call it a lot worse, particularly when you also want to kill your wife and transport her body to the crematorium the minute she's dead.
Oh, and another thought just occurred to me. I wonder if Terri has had the pleasure of meeting her step children yet?
The entire scenario is so bizzare as to be almost unbelievable.
Michael Schiavo is no more Terri's husband than Michael Jackson is Tinkerbelle.
Katrina has more to say and she's worth taking a click over to see...
Although a new blogger, I think enough of her to add her to the Hyscience blogroll.
