Harry Reid: Will Shut Senate Down If Left-Wing Can't Rule

In his newly found 'I'll-whine-and-stomp-my-feet-until-I-get-my-way' manner (reminiscent of Reid's mentors Kennedy and Kerry?), Senator Harry Reid wrote in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist that 44 Democrat Senators would refuse to cooperate on any and all legislation, save Iraq military concerns, US security matters and critical government services. He went on to write: "Beyond that very limited scope, however, we will be reluctant to enter into any consent agreement that facilitates Senate activities, even on routine matters!"

The reality of these continuing shenanigans from the left-wing of the Democrat Party (which is now their 'mainstream') speaks volumes. They are telling the American people that when the Dems are out of the elected majority, they still must be allowed to rule! The problem, of course, is that we are not a monarchy run by a few select individuals. But, just see how far you get when you try to explain that to Ted Kennedy. 

Reid's (and all of the left-leaning Dems for that matter) petulant reaction is due to President Bush and Republican Senators calling for the simple up or down vote of the president's judicial nominees. Again, what the Minority Party couldn't win from the US Electorate, they are threatening to seize via endless filibuster and/or their so called "super-majority" (false) requirement; which damages the country. However, as usual, the Dems concern is not for the country (didn't Clinton-appointee Nancy Soderberg recently admit to this?) but, rather for their individual perceived power-grabs.  "Waaah!!! If we can't have our way...you'll be sorry!" The adults really need to stop these childish rants now; once and for all. Some children need tough love. It's time to implement it.
