Tampa Tribune: Terri Schiavo Saga Strains CourtsTopics: Terri Schiavo's Life Counts
... Time and again the legal battle over the brain-damaged woman's wishes has appeared to be drawing to a close.
... The protracted dispute has prompted some to question whether the court system can become gridlocked when one side has the determination and financial backing to fight indefinitely and the other refuses to compromise.
It's a sterile report of the court system, and as has been the case with almost every single article that has appeared in the Tampa Tribune and the St Petersburg Times, Terri has been spoken of as though she wasn't even a person. David Sommer is reporting here on the court system, not Terri Schiavo, so he can't be faulted for failing to mention the facts in the case that scream for therapy for Terri and removal of Michael Schiavo as guardian. It seems that expert journalists like David don't want to dig any deeper into Terri's saga and the fact that she is alive and well and responsive, and aren't willing to ask the hard questions about Michael Schiavo's right to guardianship, given the real facts in the case.
If only David and his fellow professionals would do what they do best and dig, dig, dig...
I can't help but wonder why they haven't looked more into Terri's denial of therapy by Michael Schiavo, but I suggest they click over to BlogsForTerri, Prolifeblogs, Hyscience, and all of the blogs that are linked to from Blogs for Terri, to read a little more of what's "out there" that screams for his help. He'd have the support of over 125 organized bloggers to help him do the background work. We need folks like David, but I just don't think they're listening.

Since her husband is having an affair and has had children by another women.Terri's best interest would not be for her adulteress husband to make decisions for her.Their marriage should be declared annulled.Giving guardianship to the parents.
*Michael is trying to be rid of his guilt by Terri dying. But it will not disappear until he asked for forgivness!

Can you kindly look at my web site regarding head and brain injury. With regards to Terri and others like her...which includes myself as I am a lady with ABI...and you will read of my disgust on hearing the words 'damaged'and 'vegetative' used to describe us. As opposed to damaged, the correct term is INJURED. We are NOT damaged goods, and this word creates a great stigma. As opposed to the words 'vegetable' and vegetative state' I am requesting in my worldwide campaign to replace these words with the terms''inactive brain cell functioning' and 'partially inactive brain cell functioning. The word 'damaged' is an insult to people like myself. We are NOT DAMAGED GOODS. One DAMAGES an inanimate object; One INJURED the human body! Further to all this we are THE FORGOTTEN PEOPLE OF A SILENT EPIDEMIC.
I would love to hear your comments regarding my work.
Kind Regards, Jessica. www.jessicataylor.info
