Mass Murder by Terrorists in Iraq Kills Over One HundredTopics: Middle East News and Perspectives
Rusty at Jawa Report writes that the latest estimate of the car-bombing mass murder in Hilla, Iraq - a predominantly Shia town, is 110 and that the number climbs with each new report. Rusty pins the mass murders in Iraq as being a result of the combination of Islamist rhetoric against the 'Crusader Forces' and the Leftist media reinforcing the Americans as agressors and brutal occupiers. He writes that the terrorist murderers justify such homicide bombings as legitimate resistance to occupation and their targets as collaborators, a concept that has certainly been at the very least encouraged by what Rusty refers to as leftist media.
The explosion took place when a suicide car bomber drove into a crowd of people who had lined up outside a medical center to obtain their medical certificates required for government jobs. Hundreds of people were ferried to the hospital and many of the injured are reported to be in a serious condition. According to the report the number of dead and injured is particularly high because there was also a crowded market place nearby.
BBC News has a collection of images from the blast showing the horrific devastation in Hila.
