"Does the cosmos reveal a creator?"

Topics: Faith

This interesting post is from David Mobley's blog, A Physicist's Perspective. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He recently completed his Ph.D. in Physics at UC Davis (2004). The post addresses a very interesting topic and I was impressed by the fact that they had to turn 100 people away at the door from UC Davis's Freeborn Hall, which was full.

Two scientists argued that the answer is "Yes" last night in a lecture   and "Skeptics Panel" at UC Davis.
Dr. Hugh Ross, a cosmologist, and Dr. Fazale Rana, a biologist, of Reasons to Believe, discussed their work in developing a testable, scientifically falsifiable creation model based on the  Bible. After each giving brief talks, they exchanged questions with a skeptics panel consisting of UC Davis's Andreas Albrecht (cosmology) and Dan Potter (plant sciences).

The event took place in UC Davis's Freeborn Hall, which was full; the organizers said that around 100 people had to be turned away at the door.

In this post, I'm going to give some overall impressions of the talk --somewhat of an overview containing more of my opinion than in the rest of the post. Then I'll regurgitate my notes from Ross and Rana's talks, and those from the "Skeptics   panel" exchange which followed the talks. At the end of the post, after I conclude coverage of the event itself, I've also posted a list of testable  predictions of their creation model.
