Powerful explosion rocks Baghdad's Green Zone

A fuel truck blew up at an Iraqi security checkpoint near an entrance to Baghdad's fortified Green Zone area on Tuesday.

So far 10 people have been confirmed dead in the blast and 58 others wounded, police said.

Describing the attack, witnesses said that a truck rammed into the checkpoint then exploded. The explosion echoed across the Iraqi capital.
