Newsday Goes All The Way Dhimmi
Topics: War on Terror - the issues. As Charles at LGF so aptly puts it, "An entire Egyptian Coptic Christian family are murdered, with strong circumstantial evidence that the killers were Muslim. Hossam Armanious, his wife Amal Garas, and their two daughters Sylvia Armanious and Monica Armanious are dead - they died bound, stabbed and with their throats slit. But what's important to Newsday? Jersey City slaying spurs new wave of anti-Islam bias."
(...) The dirty looks and shouted slurs started in 1993 after Muslims living here helped plan the bombing of the World Trade Center. They intensified on Sept. 11, 2001, when Muslim hijackers brought down the twin towers just across the Hudson River.
(...) Now a third wave of anti-Muslim sentiment is washing over New Jersey's second-largest city, sparked this time by speculation that the murders of an Egyptian Christian man, his wife and two young daughters might have been carried out by Muslims angered over postings the man made in an Internet chat room....
(emphasis added)(...) For people like Ahmed Shedeed, director of the Islamic Center of Jersey City, the accusatory feeling is all too familiar.
(...) "We Muslims living in America are getting sick of this crap," he said. "Why should we have to apologize for or make a defense of something we had nothing to do with? There is no proof at all that Muslims had anything to do with this, yet we are taking the blame again. Is Islam on trial, or is a killer on trial?"

Speculation that the murders might have been carried out by Muslims angered over postings the man made in an Internet chat room? In a previous post entitled Slaying of Catholic family of four in New Jersey may be tied to Islamic extremism." I wrote that amazingly, the media did not find this horrendous crime newsworthy. Except a few, none of them had any word about it. Not a squeak was heard from CNN; no mention of this on ABC, CBS or any other big media outlet!
Is it that the big American media already know what Armanious did not know? Are they afraid to report this carnage? Have they already convinced themselves that even in America you are not free to speak your mind and the first amendment is baloney? Or perhaps they have sold their soul to the devil of political correctness?
Yet there is another possibility - liberal, secularist, and relativist bias against Christians by journalists that have their own preconcieved notions of events without facts to support them. In this case the author, AP writer Wayne Parry, in a typical MSM exercise in minimal-effort journalistic investigation, didn't even seek out information readily available at Jihad Watch today and carried by numerous blogs. As I posted today from information originally obtained from Jihad Watch's Jan 20 " Inside information on the New Jersey murders" :
(...) A close friend of Hossam Armanious, the Coptic Christian who was brutally murdered in New Jersey along with his family, is the source of this information.
(...) The Armanious family had inspired several Muslims to convert to Christianity -- or thought they had. These converts were actually practicing taqiyya, or religious deception, pretending to be friends of these Christians in order to strengthen themselves against them, as in Qur'an 3:28: "Let believers not make friends with infidels in preference to the faithful -- he that does this has nothing to hope for from Allah -- except in self-defense." (emphasis added)
(...) It was these "converts" who knocked on the door of the Armanious home. Of course, the family, not suspecting the deception, was happy to see the "converted" men and willingly let them in to their home. That's why there was no sign of forced entry. Then the "converted" Muslims did their grisly work.
(...) Many Copts are regarding the murders as a warning to the Coptic community as a whole, related to the increasing strife between Copts and Muslims in Egypt and the Copts' energetic efforts in America to get the truth out about the differences between Middle Eastern Christians and Muslims -- differences that the Islamic lobby, with its disingenuous talk of "Arab Americans," routinely glosses over and hopes you don't notice. The Copts, to their immense credit, have been particularly outspoken among Middle Eastern Christians about Muslim oppression. And yes, many are active on Pal Talk debating Muslims.
Has Mr. Wayne Parry ever heard of Taqiya, is it too dificult to do a simple Google search just to find out if there are other possibiities than the Islamists' view? Do the entire Coptic community just get shunned out of their right to be heard? Is Mr. Wayne Parry just in a hurry to become a full-fledged Dhimmi? Was the crime against the Catholic family not brutal enough to get your attention Mr. Parry and cause you to dig deep below the spin-surface of the Islamic center Director? How about this Mr. Parry - From the NYPost:
(...) A family member who viewed photos of the bloodbath said Sylvia seemed to have taken the most savage punishment.
(...) "When we saw the pictures, you could tell that they were hurt really, really bad in the face; especially Sylvia," said Milad Garas, the high-school sophomore's great-uncle.
(...) The heartless killer not only slit Sylvia's throat, but also sliced a huge gash in her chest and stabbed her in the wrist, where she had a tattoo of a Coptic cross.

Has Mr. Wayne Parry ever heard what comes out of the well-spring of radical Islam, the financier of most of the mosques in the United States - Saudi Arabia?
(...) In the early summer, Saudi Sheikh Dr. Ahmad bin Abd Al-Latif, a professor at Um Al-Qura University, was asked on Saudi TV if it is permitted under Islamic law to pray for the annihilation of Christians and Jews. He answered, "... Cursing the oppressing Jews and the oppressing and plundering Christians and the prayer that Allah will annihilate them is permitted." (emphasis added)
(...) They say: 'Oh people, we, the Jews and Christians, are the sons of Allah...' They are lying, [may] Allah's wrath [be] upon them... If you are truthful, will Allah burn you in hell for your sins?... You will be punished for your lies." (emphasis added)
(...) Calling for the throats of Christians and Jews to be slit and their skulls shattered, Al-Qarni told Iqra TV on December 26: "We Muslims should be rebuked. One billion two hundred million ... are incapable of taking action ... of harming the Jews... I pray to Allah that He will make the enemies fall ... and that He will destroy the Jews and their helpers from among the Christians... We curse them ... and pray that Allah will annihilate them, tear them apart, and grant us victory over them... Throats must be slit and skulls must be shattered. This is the path to victory, to shahada..." Citing a hadith. In a lecture on January 9th that aired on Iqra TV, Al-Qarni explained that Jews, "the brothers of apes and pigs," and Christians should not be slaughtered only if they convert to Islam. (emphasis added)
Has Mr. Wayne Parry been living in a cave somewhere that has no computer? Does he ever spend just a little time to find out what our country is facing with the Islamic threat? New Jersey, a hotbed of radical Islamists, think about it Mr. Wayne Parry. Even moderate Muslims are afraid to speak out, are you Mr Wayne Parry afraid also, or just anti-Christian and too liberal to open your eyes to the dangers at your front door?
Jihad Watch reader Jason P. had a very appropriate comment at Jihad Watch:
"In previous bias cases - whether against gays, blacks or others -
the news media didn't shy away from the suggestion that bias played a
roll. Indeed some of these cases became national news long before there
was conclusive evidence that hate played a roll."
"Given the pattern of jihadist attacks, like the pattern of klan attacks a century ago, this case should be in the national news as it is investigated. There are too many pieces to believe this is anything else but Islamic violence."
