When the CBS memo scandal was erupting in September, Preston was all on the Mary Mapes/CBS case in a leftist hatcheteer posing as an objective journalist. Now he's on it again. Check out his latest on Mary Mapes here...
Preston gives us the Houston Chronicle link as the origin for the story, which has the report letting Mapes and others at CBS off easy.
"The panel does not find a basis to accuse those who ... aired the segment of having a political bias," the report said. "The panel does note, however, that on such a politically charged story, coming in the midst of a presidential campaign ... there was need for meticulous care to avoid any suggestion of an agenda at work." CBS failed that test. -end item
