Campaigning for elections by Text-Messages (SMS)
Topics: Iraq ElectionsWatch what is about to happen in Iraq and Kurdistan. Yes there is going to be more violence and killing, but although the terrorists and insurgents will try their best to kill democracy for the Iraqis and the Kurds before it starts - they can't kill the heart of the people.
Listen carefully, the sound of freedom for the Iraqi people is emerging amidst the bomb blasts of the terrorists!

A mobile telecomunications company called Korak Telecoms has sent thousands of text-messages (SMS) to its subscribers promoting the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) (List 296) for the Sulaimani, Duhok and Erbil Council elections.

Mobile users have received
text-messages saying "Vote for the No. 296 List in the Council
elections for Sulaimani, Erbil, and Duhok".
People until 1-2 a.m were in the streets shouting and chanting slogans in favour of their parties. This photo is taken from one of the Kurdish newspapers. The Council elections is where people are doing the competition. List number 109 (PUK list) and list number 296 (KDP) list are racing against each other.
