Ahead of Iraqi elections, Al Qaeda group arrested for planning attack in Iraq

We just keep hearing more of the same from the MSM, especially the Arab press. It's suppose to be breaking news that the terrorists aren't terribly happy about the elections and will try anything to disrupt them. Let's play along and devour this latest information with great fervor, as though we are all sitting on the edge of our seats with bated breath and in utter disbelief that the Sunnis and Islamists want to sidetrack the democratic process. The nerve of those people!

In the run-up to the elections, Iraqis are bracing themselves for an extremely turbulent week as the violence that's rocked the country since the U.S. forces invasion, continues.

But interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi is insisting that only the elections would end the violence that has swept the country.

An audiotape message, attributed to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, has been posted on a website. The message says that the January 30th elections were a "wicked trap aimed at putting the Shiites in the seat of power in Iraq...We have declared all-out war on this wicked course."

However, the authenticity of the tape could not be confirmed nor whether it really was al-Zarqawi speaking.  Read more..
