On air last weekend I got acquainted with a very brave woman, Brigitte Gabriel, founder of "The American Congress for Truth."She spent the first 17 years of her life in war-torn Lebanon during the '70's and 80's. Before that, Lebanon was "the pearl of the Mediterranean." It was a banking center, tourist attraction, and a beacon of light in the Middle East. Because it was a "Christian nation" it was willing to accept legions of the PLO who were expelled from Jordan in the 1970's.

True to form, in return for the generosity of Lebanon's Christians, the Palestinians proceeded to destroy the country killing thousands and driving tens of thousands into hiding including Brigitte and her parents. From age 10 to 17 she dodged PLO bullets and other atrocities as she lived underground without food, water, and heat. She would crawl under sniper fire to find grass and weeds to eat and obtain water that was polluted. This was Lebanon's pay back for their humanitarian gesture in 1970. As a "Christian nation" they felt they should take the PLO in though they have been expelled from other countries for their barbarism as well. Too bad Israel bought into PLO propaganda in 1993 and embraced them in the 1993 Oslo Accords. Leopards don't change their spots.

In the name of multiculturalism and diversity, terror organizations are digging in here in America and taking advantange of "charitable organizations" that have evil-arms here such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and Hizbollah. It is a dangerous mistake to think that only al-Qaida would do us harm.

These and many more such organizations raise millions of dollars "for charity" but send it back to the Middle East for terror purposes.

The "Council on American-Islamic Relations" (CAIR) is one of the most dangerous of America's "enemy within" in spite of its "Boy Scout image." CAIR and similar organizations are pushing for "One Nation Under Allah" and the presidency of the U.S. by 2020.

Profiling at airports is done on a random, computer basis. Thus the computer could select a three-year old Scandanavian child to check out. At the same time NO MORE THAN TWO MIDDLE EASTERN MEN PER FLIGHT can be inspected. Never mind that the third one may have the bomb.

Dry runs for bomb-making on the planes are going on all the time. This was what Annie Jacobson, reporter for the Wall Street Journal, reported on several months ago. She was on a flight from Detroit to L.A. where this was clearly occurring. Others on board concurred. The mainstream media passed them all off as delusional. The men did not have valid visas yet none were arrested. Political correctness (PC) reigns.

The indoctrination of our kids to the "gentle ways of Islam" is in full swing, again thanks to PC. To believe anything other than Islam is a "religion of peace" violates all tenants of PC.

On December 1, the FBI counter-terrorism agents in Florida and elsewhere were forced to attend "sensitivity training classes" led by CAIR. Again, we bowed the knee to PC.

The media is also "the enemy within." The mainstream media will continue its efforts to paint Islam in a false light. You must plug into the "alternative media" for truth.

Echo Zoe has some hopeful closing comments and you should click through to read all of it (a little later). First, let's remember our original intent at the begining of our little discussion here; having now heard a little of the flavor of experience from a woman who has already experienced "Dimmitude," let's discuss some excerpts of "Exploiting the Koran to Terrorize" by Danial Pipes (New York Sun, December 14, 2004):

Counterterrorism efforts got a major boost last week when an American district court found three Muslim organizations and one individual, mostly based in the Chicago area, guilty of funding Hamas and fined them an astonishing US$156 million.

The four were found liable for their roles in the murder of an American teenager, David Boim, on May 13, 1996, when he was shot by Hamas operatives as he waited for a bus near Jerusalem. This case is important in itself, providing some measure of justice and relief for the Boim family. Beyond that, it helps fight terrorism in four ways.

First, it validates and operationalizes a 1992 U.S. law that prohibits sending any money to terrorist organizations, not just money specifically tied to violence. Even funds used for medical care or education, the logic correctly goes, ultimately forward violence.

Arlander Keys, the judge in this case, established that "the Boims need only show that the defendants were involved in an agreement to accomplish an unlawful act and that the attack that killed David Boim was a reasonably foreseeable consequence of the conspiracy." This ruling places other civil cases, most notably the one linking Saudi royals to September 11, 2001, on much firmer legal ground.

Second, this marks the first decision by a jury penalizing Americans who support terrorism abroad and making them liable to pay civil damages.

Third, as the Boims' lawyer, Stephen J. Landes explains, it shows that "the American court system is prepared to bankrupt the Islamist terror network," just as it earlier destroyed the Ku Klux Klan and the Aryan Nations, two extremist and violent organizations, "by bringing unpayably large judgments against them."

Finally, the case confirms a pattern of culpability among even the most innocent-appearing of Islamic institutions. Two of the three liable groups have known ties to Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist group; Holy Land Foundation serves as its fundraising arm, Islamic Association for Palestine as its political front. But the Quranic Literacy Institute appeared wholly unconnected to Hamas. It is a religious group based in a Chicago suburb that since 1991 has engaged in the pious work of translating Islamic sacred texts from Arabic, then publishing them in English.

But appearances can deceive(Hyscience emphasis). In June 1998, Federal authorities charged QLI with having for nine years supported "a conspiracy involving international terrorist activities and domestic recruitment and training in support of such activities" and seized $1 million of its cash and assets.

Let's stop for a moment to recall a few paragraph in the radio address mentioned in the Echo Zoe post;

Islamists will do anything necessary to further their causes, and deceit is one of their primary weapons. If necessary, go back and re-read the words Brigitte Gabriel in the above mentioned Dec 11 radio broadcast. Let's continue with excerpts from the Pipes article;

The FBI found that a Saudi-based financier linked to Osama bin Laden, Yassin Kadi, loaned $820,000 to the QLI in 1991, which the QLI then laundered through a series of real estate transactions. In what the Chicago Tribune calls "extraordinarily complex" deals, QLI cleared nearly $1.4 million and investigators suspect it planned to use this money in 1993 to fund the rebuilding of Hamas.

QLI's complicity in terrorism has great significance, for it is no rogue outfit but a stalwart of the Saudi-backed "Wahhabi lobby" in America. QLI's founding president, Ahmad Zaki Hammad, is a scholar of Islam boasting advanced degrees from Cairo's prestigious Al-Azhar University and the University of Chicago. He has served as president of the lobby's largest organization, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and sat on the board of the North American Islamic Trust, its mechanism for taking over mosques and other Islamic properties.

When the QLI's assets were impounded in 1998, leading organizations of the Wahhabi lobby - ISNA, the Islamic Circle of North America, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Muslim Students' Association - leapt to its defense, declaring themselves "shocked at this unprecedented action taken against members of the Muslim community." Nearly a thousand supporters rallied on QLI's behalf, chanting "Allahu Akbar."

And yet, we now know that this innocuous-appearing organization did have a key role funneling money to Hamas.

Muslim institutions too often are not what they seem to be. The "Progressive Muslim Union" is actually reactionary. Mosques harbor criminals. Honey companies and Islamic "charities" fund terrorism. A "mainstream" Muslim leader pleads guilty to an assassination scheme.

The lesson is clear: Wahhabi organizations like the QLI cannot be taken at face value but must be scrutinized for extremist, criminal, and terrorist connections. Extensive research, including undercover operations, is needed to find out the possibly sordid reality behind a seemingly benign exterior (Hyscience emphasis).

We can almost summarize the purpose of this post with Danial Pipe's last comment: Islamists have a hidden agenda, and like the Wahhabi organizations Pipes has described in his article, they cannot be taken at face value; we do so at our extreme peril. The words and actions of Islamists must be scrutinized to the smallest detail for extremist, criminal, and terrorist behavior.

Furthermore, and just as important, we must take great care to prevent their every step to subvert, convert, conquer, and deceive American society in order to further the plans that radical Islam has for us. Their plan is to dhimmitize non-Muslims, we must know what that is, what it means to us, how they are inching their way forward with such a plan on a daily basis all over our country, and what we must do to stop it. Our goal together over the next few weeks will be to work toward such an awareness together. Together means not only Hyscience, but also several other bloggers and readers in a collective effort to help get the word out to the public that the mainstream media will not address. It is too politically incorrect and so much so that even Fox News won't touch it.

In closing, we borrow from Robert Spencer's Dhimmi Watch , his definition of Dhimmitude that we will be working from:

"Dhimmitude is the status that Islamic law, the Sharia, mandates for non-Muslims, primarily Jews and Christians. Dhimmis, "protected people," are free to practice their religion in a Sharia regime, but are made subject to a number of humiliating regulations designed to enforce the Qur'an's command that they "feel themselves subdued" (Sura 9:29). This denial of equality of rights and dignity remains part of the Sharia, and, as such, are part of the law that global jihadists are laboring to impose everywhere, ultimately on the entire human race."  (Dhimmi Watch)

Dhimmitude is what the Islamists have in mind for us. They can only succed if we let them. By the way, I mentioned at the begining of this post that Echo Zoe is a pro-life blog. I'd like to mention that Hyscience is also, so we have something in common besides blogging.
