Suicide bomber kills 9, injures 39 in Iraq
Topics: Middle East News and PerspectivesIt's hard to imagine where and how they dig up the dredges of the earth that are dumb enough and crazy enough to go blow themselves up in order to kill people they don't even know. But this is what we are facing in this war against Islamic fundamentalists, and it is a war we have no choice in but to win.

BAGHDAD -- A suicide bomber detonated his car Monday
at the gate of the home of the leader of Iraq's biggest political
party, killing nine people and injuring 39, police said. The cleric was
unharmed.
Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, head of the Supreme Council for the Islamic
Revolution in Iraq -- the country's most powerful Shiite political group
-- was in his residence in Baghdad's Jadiriyah district when the attack
