Saddam jail named for first time
Topics: Middle East News and PerspectivesIn the Australian, Dec 15, we learn that Sadaam Hussein is being held at the US military base of Camp Cropper, near Baghdad, according to a top Iraqi official, which confirms his long-suspected location.
According to the article, the US authorities and the International Committee of the Red Cross,
which has visited the former dictator since his arrest a year ago, have
always refused to say where he was. Asked at a press conference about Saddam's health, Iraq's Human
Rights Minister Bakhtiar Amin said that he had been fine the last time
he saw him at the camp in September. More...
