On A Separate Immigration Reform Bill And Other Rants
Topics: National NewsDiggers Realm is all over one of my favorite topics, immigration reform, so I get to read about it and not have to write about it. Apparently Southern California Republicans are vowing to bar illegal immigrants from obtaining driver's licenses, restrict asylum laws, and speed up completion of a fence along the U.S.-Mexico border, all by early next year. In his post Digger points to an L.A. Daily News article (via Prestopundit) that reports on what I consider the dumbest remark I've heard in a couple of days which of course came mainly from Democrats(albeit a few conservatives); the restrictions would do little to improve national security.
Please, give me a break, enough already.
That's on the level of both the Bush administration and that Kucinich whacko and 21 members of Congress genuflecting on behalf of the incompetent stooge for the French and the Germans, Kofi Annan! Sorry, sort of lost it there, I'm taking a breath now, breathing in, breathing out, okay, I'm back. Sometimes these things remind me of the caption in California Yankees banner, "You can't make this stuff up." He's right, but stuff like this belongs on Saturday Night Live.
