"The Army of Ansar al-Sunnah has released a video of a Turkish worker captured in NorthMosul. The video may be downloaded here or excerpts from the video here. The group has threatened to murder the Turk for his 'collaboration'. To the right is a still image taken from the video."
The Politburo Diktat has extensive comments on the Ansar al-Sunnah "Banners of Truth" video which helps to provide some insight into this radical group.
Ansar Al-Sunnah Army is an Islamic salafist and Sunni group that announced its establishment five months after the occupation of Iraq. It is a combination of Islamic groups that are opposed to the US occupation of Iraq. All these factions and individuals merged into one Islamic group called Ansar Al-Sunnah Army to distinguish itself from the Shiite "Al-Mahdi Army," which was established by Muqtada al-Sadr, and other Shiite movements.
