Al-Qaeda 'plans attack on sea route' to hit global trade
Topics: TerrorismIn an article appearing in the Scotsman on Dec 10:
AL-QAEDA is set to stage a waterborne 11 September-style attack in the next 12 months, UK security experts claim today.
The terror "spectacular" would not even have to succeed to throw the global economy into chaos.
Simply capturing a ship on the key Red Sea route between Europe and Asia could cause a world trade crisis.

This news doesn't come as a surprise. CNN previously reported on this back on August 5, 2004. as did Islamic Republic News Agency. CBS (ugh!) reported about it in May 04 and ISEAS wrote of the plan in March 04. Let's hope that by now we are on it! There can be no quarter on these people, for the Islamists will give none to us. We are in a world-wide war, we must recognize it for that, and we must also recognize that it is a religious war! Non-Islamists against Islamists. Christians, Jews, Muslims, and all people of all other faiths, and those with no faith - we must work together to defeat radical Islam. We must be more aware of the threat and take more immediate steps to defeat it. This is not about oil, not about theological differences, and not about politics. Its about our children's future and the survival of the freedoms of non-Islamists.
