Why Did President Bush Win Reelection?
Topics: Political News and commentariesAlthough a formal declaration of victory has yet to occur, nonetheless sometime today Senator Kerry will concede the election and President Bush will declare victory. This will occur for the same reason that President Bush won reelection.
The American people have for the first time in many years collectively taken a look at themselves, their secular-leaning political and vitriolic social environment, and felt the warmth deep inside their heart of hearts of their collective moral compass. You could "feel" it last night through the television screens that had all of our attention. Senator Kerry was right about America needing a new direction. And yesterday America made up their collective mind that morals matter - when it really gets down to the quick of issues and our hearts alike, most of us want to "do the right thing." Senator Kerry will do just that today because the collective heart of our country demands it.
President Bush won reelection yesterday because we the people, at least a majority of us, found enough common ground to pull together and declare that moral issues do matter.
After it was all said and done, informed citizens checked their moral compasses and turned our country towards the new direction spoken of so often by Senator Kerry during his campaign. Yesterdays election turned out to be a referendum on the moral compass of our nation.
