An al-Qaida attack on the US with non-conventional weapons is virtually "inevitable," and the organization is likely "tying up the knots" for such an attack, Yossef Bodansky, former director of the US Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.
"All of the warnings we have today indicate that a major strike - something more horrible than anything we've seen before - is all but inevitable," he said.
Bodansky, here for the second annual Jerusalem Summit, an international gathering of conservative thinkers, added that "the primary option" for the next al-Qaida attack on US soil would be one that would use weapons of mass destruction.
"I do not have a crystal ball, but this is what all the available evidence tells us, we will have a bang," Bodansky said. Read More...
The above warnings aren't the first time that we have heard that al-Qaida is planning or has already planned for an attack on the U.S. Homeland using non-conventional weapons. Just a few of the warnings that have been given by agencies and organizations are;

........ Terrorist actions may include, but are not limited to, suicide
operations, hijackings, bombings or kidnappings. These may involve
aviation and other transportation and maritime interests, and may also
include conventional weapons, such as explosive devices. Terrorists do
not distinguish between official and civilian targets. These may
include facilities where U.S. citizens and other foreigners congregate
or visit, including residential areas, clubs, restaurants, places of
worship, schools, hotels and public areas. U.S. citizens are encouraged
to maintain a high level of vigilance and to take appropriate steps to

The department urged U.S. citizens to "increase their security awareness," especially when traveling abroad.
"We are seeing indications that al Qaeda continues to prepare to strike U.S. interests abroad," the State Department said in its worldwide caution.
"Al Qaeda attacks could possibly involve nonconventional weapons such as chemical or biological agents as well as conventional weapons of terror. We also cannot rule out that al Qaeda will attempt a catastrophic attack within the U.S." ........ Read More...

attacks. Future al-Qaida attacks could possibly involve
non-conventional weapons such as chemical or biological agents as well

Cudos to Megapundit for his Sunday post.
We know that al-Qaida and its various organizations have plans for the U.S. homeland. Americans expected an attack before the election and it didn't happen, not because the terrorists weren't trying but more likely, because America is better prepared not than before 9/11. But al-Qaida will keep trying, so we have to keep working at being better prepared. Being aware that they are trying, being aware that they want to cause terrible harm to us, and being aware of the terrorist's mindless religiosity and extreme hate for America is at least a beginning toward stopping the Islamic thugs. The lives and future of our children and grandchildren, the continuance of our way of life, and the continued existence of civilized society depends on our vigilance and preparedness.
