Rash of Palestinian terrorist attacks Saturday night. Roadside bomb blows up Israeli car, injures three - man, his wife and baby - on West Bank Metsad road northwest of Hebron. Two more bombs discovered nearby.

Incidents in N. Jerusalem: Palestinians hurl fire bombs at Mount Scopus Hadassah hospital where many receive medical care. In Issawiya village, undercover police unit detains Palestinian who tossed bottle bombs at gas station on Jerusalem-Maale Adummim highway

US warplanes strike insurgents in northern Iraqi town of Mosul where new front opens as Fallujah offensive begins to wind down.

Sunni insurgents mount attacks and local Iraqi police officers have fled. Gunmen said to control parts of south and west of Iraq's third largest city. Iraqi government is rushing four National Guard battalions into Mosul from Syrian and Iranian border garrisons. Baghdad airport shutdown extended indefinitely.

New Fallujah battle figures Saturday night from US and Iraqi sources: 1.200 insurgents killed in five-day offensive, more than 400 enemy fighters still holed up in north and south in last-stand combat. Among them are foreign nationals including Syrians and Chechens. Zarqawi escaped but 33 of his men killed. Iraqi military say offensive all but over except for pockets of resistance, but US military and Allawi say Monday or Tuesday more credible.

In West Fallujah Saturday, 400 insurgents captured.
