Iran May Agree To Demand For Suspension Of It's Uranium Activities
Topics: Middle East News and Perspectives Aljazeera is reporting that a senior Iranian official said on Thursday he believes Iran
will agree to EU demand to suspend its uranium enrichment activities,
in an attempt to ease the mounting international pressure on the
Islamic state.
"I am optimistic about a positive answer from Tehran to the Paris
agreement," said Hossein Mousavian, secretary of the foreign policy
committee of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.
"In the next few hours I will inform the three EU ambassadors in Tehran of Iran's response," he told reporters, referring to the ambassadors of Britain, Germany and France which held EU nuke talks with Iran.
Previous attempts to get Iran to agree to curb it's nuclear appetite have not been fruitful.
